An upcoming historical series might feature the star-studded casting of Lee Jin Wook, Park Min Young, and Jin Goo. The three celebrities, known for their dramas "Goodbye Mr. Black," "Healer" and "Descendants of the Sun," respectively, are in talks to join the said KBS series.

The showrunners and team behind the said KBS drama are already hard at work with pre-production activities that involves identifying cast members for the series. Titled "Seven Day Queen," the drama's three lead roles were offered to Lee Jin Wook, as well as Jin Goo and Park Min Young.

"Seven Day Queen," tells the story of Joseon dynasty's Queen Dangyeong who became a queen for only seven days. Park Min Young is in talks to play the titular role, while Lee Jin Wook and Jin Goo are being tapped to portray King Jungjong and King Yeonsangun, respectively.

A source from the said drama told local reporters that the three celebrities are still in negotiations to appear in "Seven Day Queen," Xports News quoted the source as saying. If Lee Jin Wook, Park Min Young, and Jin Goo decide to accept the casting offers, the project will mark their drama comeback in KBS.

Jin Goo's last KBS drama was the 2016 hit "Descendants of the Sun" where he starred alongside Song Joong Ki. He portrayed Dae Young who had a complicated love story with the soldier doctor and daughter of his commanding officer, Myeong Ju (Kim Ji Won). For Lee Jin Wook, he last appeared in the 2011 KBS drama "Myungwol the Spy," while Park Min Young starred in the 2015 series "Healer."

In other news, Jin Goo recently revealed the names of some of his closest friends in the South Korean entertainment industry. In a recent interview, he mentioned that he considers Lee Byung Hun as a father-like figure and acting mentor, Sports Chosun quoted the actor as saying. Other celebrities that he considers friends include Im Siwan, Jung Woo, Kang Ha Neul, Lee Jung, as well as Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo.

"Descendants of the Sun" aired from late February 2016 until mid-April 2016. Meanwhile, the upcoming historical KBS "Seven Day Queen" is expected to be released in June.
