‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ Tops TV Popularity List, Beats ‘Defendant,’ ‘Chief Kim’
"Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" achieved a new milestone and was identified as the most popular TV program for the third week of March. The JTBC drama even bested the highly-rated suspense series "Defendant," as well as "Chief Kim."
Recently, Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young's romantic comedy series rose to the top of a TV popularity chart. "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" nabbed the first place among other dramas. Around 15 percent of the chart's total points went to the JTBC drama, according to data from Good Data Corporation, as cited by Xports News.
"Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" also surpassed the SBS series "Defendant" that featured the impressive acting performance of the veteran actor Ji Sung. Apart from the said legal suspense drama, the JTBC series even bested Namgoong Min's drama "Chief Kim," also known as "Good Manager."
Meanwhile, Park Hyung and Park Bo Young's drama was identified as the most buzzworthy program among other South Korean TV shows. "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" surpassed the variety shows "Infinite Challenge" and "Produce 101" to land at first place for the third week of March, according to the same report.
In other news, the JTBC romantic comedy series has been receiving a lot of support and love from avid fans. Recently, the two lead stars of "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" were identified as the drama couple with the best onscreen chemistry, according to an online survey by TV Report. The survey was participated by 40 respondents, comprised of viewers and members of the South Korean entertainment industry.
In the said survey, Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young received the most votes with 14 respondents and 5 entertainment experts choosing the two celebrities. Aside from the "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" drama couple, Park Bo Gum's onscreen pairing with Girl's Day Hyeri in "Reply 1988" nabbed the second spot on the said survey.
