Choi Si Won’s Original Soundtrack Song For Drama Series ‘She Was Pretty’ Tops Music Charts; South Korean Singer-Actor Will Join The Military On November 19

Super Junior member Choi Si Won will soon be missed by his fans as the South Korean singer-actor will join the military next month. However, this past few months have been fruitful for the artist joined the cast of a South Korean series entitled "She Was Pretty."

Aside from that, his original soundtrack song for drama series tops major music charts after it was released on Thursday.

Korea Joongang Daily reported on Friday that the soundtrack, entitled "Only You," was first played during Wednesday's episode of the drama series. The acoustic ballad song will serve as a theme for Choi's character in "She Was Pretty," as per The Tick Tock.

The South Korean singer-actor plays the role of Kim Shin Hyuk, a free-spirited, fair and uncomplicated senior magazine editor. Choi's character will get along with Kim Hye Jin (Hwang Jung Eun) and got slowly attracted to her.

"She Was Pretty" started on September 16. The television series airs at MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 p.m.

The drama series is a romantic comedy of two past colleagues who meet after they have gone through tough and good times. Choi and Hwang share the screen with Park Seo Joon, who will play the character of Ji Sung Joon.

Soompi forecasted on Oct. 18 that the drama series garnered low ratings after the first episode aired. However, the figures doubled on the second episode of the series.

Meanwhile, Choi reveals that there are traits of his character which are akin to his actual persona.

"There are some traits from my character that are similar to my actual personality," he says. "However, there are also a lot of characteristics that I envy. For example, my character is very carefree and can say whatever is on his mind."

29-year-old Choi debuted when he joined Super Junior, yet, he ventured the acting industry a few years back and appeared in a number of Korean drama series and even in some Chinese films.

His films include "A Battle of Wits," "Attack on the Pin-Up Boys," and "Dragon Blade." Also, he has also appeared in several drama series such as "Poseidon," "The King of Dramas" and "Masked Prosecutor."

Choi will temporarily leave the spotlight to serve his compulsory military service on November 19.
