China Resorted To Banning Coal Imports From North Korea After Recent Missile Test
It was last February 12 when North Korea administered missile test from Banghyon air base near the west coast of the country. The ballistic missile test launch, however, has received disapproval from the United Nations and other countries. Despite strong opposition from the United Nations, North Korea declares the missile test a success. On the contrary, countries, namely US, Japan and South Korea immediately requested a meeting following the recent missile test of North Korea.
Unite Nation Security Council has always took a stand against Missile test. However, this didn't stop the North Korea form instituting a missile test. North Korea also explained that the missile they recently launched, the Pukguksong 2, was of the same type with the one they also launched last August 2016, reported by BBC News. The difference between the one they used last 2016 and the missile they used last February was the latter is made of solid-fuel engine which enables the missile to shoot on considerable higher-range and is faster than the liquid -fuel missiles.
Meanwhile, North Korea's only associate, China is showing hostility to the incident. To show China's protest regarding the North Korea's recent ballistic missile test, the former suspends coal imports from the North Korea. Coal is North Korea's most substantial exports and has always hinged on China for trade. China has once agreed to relatively suspend North Korea's coal imports, as reported by independent. Further, China's resistance was a major hit to North Korea's financial state. In addition, according to China's Commence Ministry, as reported by BBC News, the boycott would be effective until 2017. In fact, recently, China refused to accept shipment of $1 m worth of coal.
North Korea is reportedly having at least 1000 missiles with various force and abilities.
