How Song Joong Ki Ended 2016 With Thoughtful Gestures

Actor Song Joong Ki ended 2016 with a series of thoughtful gestures that makes him only more endearing to fans.

According to Soompi, the 31-year-old dashing actor was caught on fan cams making a thoughtful gesture to the child actress Heo Jung Eun.

Fans took a snapshot of the actor at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards while he covered the eyes of the nine-year-old child star of "Love in the Moonlight" while the screen showed a kiss scene between the actor and co-star Song Hye Kyo in their hit drama "Descendants of the Sun."

Song Joong Ki also gave the 500 staff members behind his upcoming film "Battleship Island" with scented candles and a handwritten note, according to Soompi. The actor reportedly spent about KRW 25 million for this thoughtful gesture.

"Song Joong Ki gave the candles to the staff individually with a handwritten message for each person. Everyone was very touched by Song Joong Ki's warm heart," said an insider.

The award ceremony Saturday night was a touching one for the actor himself who, together with his leading lady, won the event's Grand Prize.

He expressed his sincere gratitude for the opportunity to play the role of Captain Yoo Shi-jin and turned to the 35-year-old actress to praise her as well.

"I give all credit and honor of this award to my partner Hye-kyo nuna, who is a great senior and the most beautiful and lovely partner," said Song Joong Ki.

The actress responded by thanking him back and calling the actor "the best partner I could hope for."

Actor Park Bo Gum, who made Song Joong Ki cry during the night, referred to the popular pair as the "almighty couple."

Fans of the Song-Song couple are clamoring for them to get married this year but neither of the two has confirmed their dating rumors.

Song Joong Ki once said that he plans to keep his relationships hidden.

"If I get a girlfriend, I won't spill the beans but if I get caught, I'll officially acknowledge the relationship," DramaFever quoted him as saying.
