South Korea asks Indonesia to convince North Korea to stop nuke tests.

South Korea asked Indonesia to join other nations in convincing North Korea to stop its nuke program.

Taiyoung Cho, Korean Ambassador to Indonesia said "we believe Indonesia as a friend of South Korea will play a big role in resolving North Korean nuclear issues."

On the other hand, former foreign minister Dino Patti Djalal emphasized that Indonesia is not capable of doing a direct intervention given its distance from the communist nation. However, the minister added that the East asian country can help in conveying message to the United Nations, Jakarta Post reported.

Mr. Dini emphasized the need to revive the six party talks to be participated by North and South Korea, China, Japan, Russia and the United States. The six party talks took place in 2003 to 2007 but stopped in 2009 due to nuclear program continuation in North Korea.

The communist nation performed its fifth nuclear test last Sept. 10. NK regarded it as the largest and most successful attempt so far. The test created a 5.3 Richter scaler tremor on sire. The said explosion is reportedly stronger than the Hiroshima bomb dropped in 1945.

Sources said that NK's nuclear program is already on its advanced state because of the technology's ability to regulate the explosion strength and radius.

Last Sept. 13 an announcement from the South Korean Defense Ministry Spokesman, Moon Sang-gyun revealed that NK is prepared to hold another nuke test any time, the International Business Times cited.

The spokesman disclosed that the "assessment by South Korean and US intelligence is that the North is always ready for an additional nuclear test in the Punggye-ri area."

North Korea reportedly has a tunnel that can accommodate another nuke test.

The United Nations already condemned the nuclear program of Kim Jong-un's regime.
