Underwater Sex, Public Nudity Uncovered At Korean Developer Steve Chon's Spa Castle In Queens
Things have gone from bad to worse for South Korean émigré developer Steve Chon's Spa Castle.
On March 1, the city shuttered the Korean-style super spa after a 6-year-old girl reportedly almost drowned when her hair became entangled in a pool vent, according to the website Gothamist.
Then, in a sizzling expose published in Sunday's New York Post, reporter Christy Smith-Sloman discovered an X-rated early morning grope fest that allegedly included nudity and underwater sex acts.
"We open at 6 a.m., and lots of strippers come here after work to unwind," one employee said. "There's lots of skinny-dipping and the girls are making out with each other and partying. It looks like the set of a porn movie."
"There is a big problem with customers having sex in the pools, and the management doesn't know how to handle it," added the Spa Castle employee, who insisted upon remaining anonymous.
"Practically every day, couples are caught having sex in the indoor and outdoor pools. They think they are being sly about it, but they're not. When you see somebody on someone's lap bouncing up and down and the jets aren't turned on, you know what's happening."
Known for his expensive tastes and larger-than-life personality, back in October Chon, who moved to the US in 1980 as a 21-year-old, boasted to Inc.com of his franchise plans for the business.
"I'm going to build a Spa Castle in every state," he said. "Last, will be the one in Anchorage, Alaska, the coldest area! Then we go abroad."
