Henry Cavill Immortalized! Mattel To Release 'Batman V Superman' Star Barbie Doll In March

Following the release of the Batman and Wonder Woman Mattel dolls, Barbie just gave a preview of its Henry Cavill Superman Barbie doll from the Batman V Superman toy line set. Fans will be able to get hold of the said toy this coming March.

The Barbie Collection has released a preview of the Superman iteration of the Batman V Superman toys, featuring a Henry Cavill Superman Barbie doll.

Reportedly, the shipping will start on March 1, around the same time of the release of the anticipated Warner Brothers/DC Comics action movie. Cavill will be joined in the film by Batman newbie Ben Affleck.

The website described the Henry Cavill Superman Barbie doll as, "revered savior, or alien menace? The world is divided about Superman in this new movie."

"This fully articulated Man of Steel is inspired in sculpt and costume by his silver screen counterpart. He may be faster than a speeding bullet, but he comes with a stand to keep him in one place on your shelf!"

The offering has been receiving praises so far, and fanatics of the comic book, film franchise or character are already looking forward to get hold of the item.

The Superman toy follows the release of the Batman and Wonder Woman toys, with the dreamy Cavill immortalized down to the blue eyes and the reinterpretation of the Kryptonian suit.

Gizmodo said it could not take its eyes off the Cavill doll.

"If being dreamy was a superpower, this version of the Man of Steel would be invincible even to kryptonite," it note.

According to the website, "the doll comes impeccably dressed in a miniature, but incredibly detailed, costume."

While Mattel has not released the Henry Cavill Superman Barbie yet, "the doll is now available for pre-order on The Barbie Collection website for $US40 ($56), but unfortunately it does not ship outside the US."
