Historic moment as all seven members reunite at Goyang Stadium on their 12th debut anniversary

The screams were deafening when Jin walked onto the stage at Goyang Stadium on Friday night. But they reached fever pitch when Jungkook appeared during J-Hope's "I Wonder" performance, marking the youngest member's first stage appearance since military discharge just two days earlier.

What was meant to be J-Hope's solo world tour finale became an unexpected BTS reunion, with all seven members present for the first time since October 2022.

Fresh from completing his mandatory military service on June 11, Jungkook looked visibly nervous as he joined J-Hope mid-concert. "My brain kind of froze for a moment," he admitted to the 27,000-strong crowd. "It feels so surreal to be here. I've missed you so much."

The performance of "I Wonder" showcased their unchanged chemistry, followed by Jungkook's solo hit "Seven" with J-Hope delivering the rap verses. The 18-month separation seemed to vanish as the duo commanded the stage with their signature energy.

The encore brought another shock as Jin appeared for "Spring Day," explaining his presence simply: "Today is June 13-our debut anniversary. I felt like I had to perform. So I just asked Hobi directly if I could do a stage with him."

Jin performed his upcoming single "Don't Say You Love Me" before the trio reunited for "Jamais Vu," their first performance of the track together in five years. The emotional weight of the moment wasn't lost on anyone present.

While only two members joined J-Hope on stage, the real magic happened in the VIP section. RM, V, Jimin, and Suga were spotted throughout the night, their faces lighting up the big screen to thunderous "BTS!" chants from fans.

The sight of all seven members in one venue-some performing, others cheering from the audience-created an atmosphere unlike any typical concert. Even Suga, still completing his alternative military service, was there to support his bandmate.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. RM and V had been discharged just three days earlier, while Jimin and Jungkook returned to civilian life on Wednesday. Only Suga remains in service, with his discharge expected June 21.

J-Hope, who completed his military duty in October 2024, used the moment to reflect on their journey: "We have a lot to show you. We'll work hard to prepare and show you, so please look forward to it."

The last time all seven members performed together was at their free concert in Busan in October 2022, supporting the city's World Expo bid. That performance came months after they announced their hiatus to pursue solo projects and fulfill military obligations.

Friday's gathering wasn't a full comeback-that's still to come. But for fans who have waited nearly three years, seeing their seven favorites in one place again felt like a gift on the group's 12th anniversary.

Jin kicks off his solo fan concert tour at the same venue on June 28-29, while speculation grows about BTS's group comeback plans. With military service obligations nearly complete, 2025 is shaping up to be the year ARMY has been waiting for.

For now, though, the simple sight of seven friends supporting each other-whether on stage or in the audience-reminded everyone why BTS became a global phenomenon in the first place.
