Apple Watch 2 Release Scheduled Along With iPhonese and iPad Air 3? Comes in Multiple Variants
Rumors about the highly anticipated Apple Watch 2 claim that the smartwatch will be released at a high profile Apple event scheduled in the latter part of March. Reportedly, it will be showcased along with the Apple iPhone 5se and the Apple iPad Air 3.
According to 9to5Mac, the upcoming second generation Apple Watch will be available in multiple new colors for the rubber Sport Bands. There will be additional colors of the Hermes bands and a new black version of the Milanese Loop.
There are rumors claiming that a new band will be introduced that is completely made out of a new material. However, this rumors was not confirmed.
Aside from the Apple Watch 2 release, there are several indications pointing to a possible update for the WatchOS operating system. Rumors have it that Apple is preparing to release WatchOS 2.2 for its flagship smart wearable devices.
The update will bring in new features like the new Maps app to the second generation Apple Watch models.
On the same rumored March event, Apple will also allegedly release the much awaited iPad Air 3 tablet together with the Apple Watch 2. The new tablet will be the successor of the widely successful iPad Air 2 which was released in 2014.
The iPad Air 3, just like its predecessors, will sport a 9.7-inch screen. Recent rumors claim that the tablet will have quad speakers setup along with a newly added flash for its rear-facing camera.
As for the iPhone 5se, the device will have a 4-inch screen and the new A9 chip, the same chip that powers the latest iPhone models. Analysts predict that the device will be available in 16 GB or 64 GB storage models.
According to International Business Times, it is believed that the smartphone will have a metal chassis and will support NFC and Live Photos feature.
