Confirmed: Kang Ha Neul Is Starring Alongside Son Ye Jin For The K-Drama ‘Trees Die on Their Feet’
Kang Ha Neul is set to lead the upcoming K-Drama "Trees Die on Their Feet"
According to various media sources, Kang Ha Neul is confirmed to take on the main role for the drama "Trees Die on Their Feet" which will also star "Thirty-Nine" actress Son Ye Jin as well as Oscar-winning actress Youn Yuh Jung.
The upcoming KBS drama "Trees Die on Their Feet" will tell the story of Yoo Jae Hoon, a theater actor who will pretend to be the grandson of a North Korean defector in order to fulfill her last wish.
KBS's "Trees Die on Their Feet" will be directed by Yoon Sang Ho and written by Jo Seong Geol.
Kang Ha Neul will take on the role of Yoo Jae Hoon who is an unknown theater actor who unexpectedly receives an offer to act as the grandson of a North Korean defector.
"Minari" actress Youn Yuh Jung will take on the role of Ja Geum Soon, an elderly woman who escaped from North Korea and established a hotel chain named Hotel Nakwon. On the other hand, in "Crash Landing On You" actress Son Ye Jin is offered to take on the role of Se Yeon who is Geum Soon's granddaughter. She is in charge of running Hotel Nakwon.

Actor Sung Dong Il is also reported to join the cast as Jung Sang Cheol.
Filming is scheduled to begin early this year while the drama is set to premiere within the second half of 2022.
Aside from starring in "Trees Die on Their Feet," Kang Ha Neul is also slated to lead the upcoming K-Drama "Insider" alongside Lee Yoo Young and Kim Sang Ho. "Insider" is set to air its first episode on March 29th.
