IU, Stray Kids, TWICE, & More, TIME Magazine Name Their ‘10 Best K-Pop Albums Of 2021’!

TIME Magazine just dropped their picks for the best K-pop albums of this year. Notably, there were a plethora of amazing K-pop albums that were released in 2021 but TIME Magazine took their time in choosing which ones they believe were the best of the best.

Here is TIME Magazine's pick for the best K-pop albums of 2021:

ONF's "ONF: My Name" - released on February 24 and has made 75.3k sales.

TIME Magazine notes that the album acts as a bold introduction for new listeners to the group while reinstating ONF's musical strengths to their current fans.

TWICE's "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" - released on November 12 and made 632.5k sales.

"Formula of Love: O+T= <3" is a feast of genres and moods, as the TWICE songs show the spectrum of emotions experienced in the different stages of love, the magazine expresses.

ONEUS' "Devil" - released on January 19 and has made 210.6k sales.

"ONEUS sings pensive words about seeing an unfamiliar reflection in the mirror while transitioning to adulthood witht the song "Youth", falling behind others after reaching the starting line late with the track "Incomplete" and longing to reunite with someone from the past with "Rewind"," TIME Magazine commented.

IU's "Lilac" - released on March 25 and has made 393.0k sales.

TIME Magazine noted that across 10 songs that focus on the fading nature of relationships and the lasting feelings they inspire, IU's amazing vocals were on full display in "Lilac."

TXT's "The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape" - released on August 17 and has made 745.0k sales.

TIME Magazine highly praises TXT for their amazing album and recommends the songs entitled "LO$ER=LO♡ER," "Anti-Romantic" and "0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)" to fans who want to get into the K-pop boy group.

Younha's "End Theory" - released in November and has made 7.4k sales.

TIME Magazine talks highly about Younha's track entitled "Stardust" as her voice simply melts the hearts of listeners, making fans and non-fans fall in love all over again.

Stray Kids' "NOEASY" - released on August 23 and has made 1.29 million sales.

The JYP Entertainment K-pop boy group was praised for their ability to make their tracks in "NOEASY" have distinct noises that are addictive and are usually not associated with music.

SHINee's "Atlantis" - released on April 12 and has made 447.5k sales.

TIME Magazine hypes fans up for SHINee's single "Atlantis" which is described as a kinetic electropop track that shows the group at its best.

Chungha's "Querencia" - released on February 15 and has made 31.8k sales.

The 21 tracks in Chungha's album are all under the spectrum of the genres R&B, EDM, disco, and house, but TIME Magazine enjoyed how Chung Ha was able to conjure up Latin vibes.

B.I's "Waterfall" - released on June 1 and has made 99.7k sales.

B.I's singing was highly praised in his "Waterfall" album but TIME Magazine makes fans understand that the soloist's album was more than just a mishmash of songs but an epiphany of love and hope that asks its listeners to hold on.
