As of writing this article, a week ago on the 12th of November, TWICE made their highly-anticipated comeback with their third studio album entitled "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" and alongside it is its very addictive title track entitled "SCIENTIST."

As per Hanteo Chart, TWICE's "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" has gone on to sell an amazing total of 318,840 copies in the first week of its release, which is dated from the 12th to the 18th of November.

Due to this achievement, TWICE has now set the new record as the highest first-week sales in the category of girl group albums released this year in 2021. Beyond this, the K-pop girl group that they were able to overcome was none other than TWICE themselves. 

Notably, the previous record for the highest first-week sales of any girl group album released this year was TWICE's "Taste of Love," which was able to sell 277,531 copies in its first week previously in June.
