BLACKPINK’s Lisa Takes Over Spotify

With the song "MONEY" from her first solo album, BLACKPINK's Lisa achieved another significant new record on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.

Lisa writes her new history on Spotify as according to YG Entertainment on November 14th, her solo song "MONEY" surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify this morning.

It has been 65 days since "MONEY" was released, making it the shortest period for a K-Pop solo artist to reach 200 million streams on Spotify.

Lisa's newest Spotify feat is also the first among female K-Pop artists. Prior to Lisa's newest achievement, the shortest period before a song by a K-pop female artist reached the same number of streams on Spotify was 87 days, and it was "How You Like That" by BLACKPINK.

It has been two months since the song was released, but the "Lisa craze" in major global music charts continues.

Previously, Lisa not only ranked 84th on the US Billboard Hot 100 with the debut title song "LALISA" in the first week of her solo album release but also topped the iTunes "Top Song Charts" in 72 countries and the "Global YouTube Songs Top 100" for 2 weeks in a row.

Following this, the b-side song "MONEY" gained popularity and climbed to 5th place on the Spotify global chart. Lisa's "MONEY" also succeeded in charting for 6 weeks and 2 weeks in a row on the UK's Official Single Top 100 and US Billboard Hot 100, respectively.

BLACKPINK Lisa's global domination didn't stop there. Lisa recently participated in DJ Snake's new single "SG" and topped iTunes charts in 41 countries. In addition, "SG" not only entered the top 10 on the Billboard dance/electronic chart but also reached the top of the Latin digital song sales chart, further expanding the popular music genre in the mainstream pop market.
