A Month After Her Solo Debut, BLACKPINK’s Lisa Is Still Breaking Records With 'LALISA'!
BLACKPINK's Lisa previously set two new Guinness World Records with her solo debut to the amazement of BLINKs (the fandom name of BLACKPINK)!
On the 8th of October, Guinness World Records announced that they had officially recognized that BLACKPINK's Lisa was able to set two world records with her solo debut track entitled "LALISA."
Prior to this, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" was confirmed by YouTube to have set a new world record for being the most-viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist within 24 hours. The MV for Lisa's "LALISA" was able to collect 73.6 million hits just 24 hours after being uploaded.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK's Lisa was able to beat the previous record of 65.2 million views set by Taylor Swift's 2019 hit, "ME!" which featured Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco.
Adding to this, "LALISA" also went on to set a new world record for the most-viewed YouTube music video within 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist.
BLACKPINK's Lisa was able to beat the previous record of 41.6 million views set by fellow BLACKPINK member Rosé with her solo debut track "On The Ground."
Now, more than a month since the release of her "LALISA" MV, the BLACKPINK member is still setting new records!
On the 27th of October at around 3:46 p.m. KST, Lisa's "LALISA" MV reached 300 million views on YouTube. The video dropped on the 10th of September at 1 p.m. KST, this means that it took 47 days to reach that amount of views.
At present, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" is now the fastest MV by a female K-pop solo artist to go beyond 300 million views.
The previous record was set by BLACKPINK's Jennie with her "SOLO" music video!
Congratulations to BLACKPINK's Lisa with the new milestone on her "LALISA" MV!
