‘School 2021’ Premiere Postponed After WEi’s Kim Yo Han Tested Positive for COVID-19
On November 14, KBS 2TV announced the postponement of the premiere of the k-drama "School 2021."
According to the network, one of the extra casts onset of the k-drama "School 2021" tested positive for the coronavirus. After the testing of all the cast and crew, the main male lead of the drama, Kim Yo Han, also tested positive for the virus.
"One of the auxiliary performers was tested positive for COVID-19 on the 13th, and all staff and cast members were immediately tested for COVID-19. As a result, actor Kim Yo Han tested positive," the production team behind "School 2021" announced.
Furthermore, the production team behind the k-drama stated that there are no additional confirmed cases other than the extra cast and Kim Yo Han. The "School 2021" lead is reportedly asymptomatic.
"It has been two weeks since both the extra performer and actor Kim Yo Han finished the second dose of their COVID-19 vaccine, and there was no close contact between them," the production team explained.
Due to this, the broadcast schedule of "School 2021" has been postponed to the 24th, while the pre-events such as the product presentations are also scheduled to be postponed.
"We will do our best to ensure the safety of the cast and crew and prevent the spread of COVID-19, so that there is no more confirmed case," "School 2021 production team assures viewers and fans.
"School 2021" has faced numerous detours since its conception almost 2 years ago. It was first intended to be released in 2020, but due to casting problems as well as the ongoing pandemic, it was pushed back.

The final casts for "School 2021" includes WEi's Kim Yo Han, Choi Ji Hyun, Hwang Bo Teum, Chu Young Woo, Kim Kang Min, Seo Hee Sun, Park In Hwan, Jeon Suk Ho, Kim Kyu Sun, Lee Ji Ha, Kim Mi Sang, Jo Seung Yeon, and Kim Soo Jin.
