On the 5th of November, Jeon Somi was featured on Studio Waffle's "Turkids on the Block" and she not only showed her vibrant personality, but she also talks about her past and her current status as a soloist.

Additionally, aside from promoting her first-ever album entitled "XOXO," she also shared how it was previously working under JYP Entertainment prior to signing under YG Entertainment's The Black Label.

Jeon Somi's career began in 2015 when she participated in the reality show, "SIXTEEN," the program where the members of TWICE were eventually selected. Unfortunately, Somi was not able to make the cut as J.Y. Park believed she was not yet ready, although having immense potential.

After this, Somi then participated in Mnet's "Produce 101" and successfully ranked 1st, debuting as the center and maknae of the popular project girl group I.O.I.

To the dismay of fans, I.O.I disbanded in 2017 but fans of Somi believed that she will be debuting as a member of ITZY. Somi then shocked fans when she parted ways with JYP Entertainment in 2018.

The MC, Lee Yongjin, wanted to ask Somi regarding the reason why she left JYP Entertainment, and the soloist obliged by answering honestly.

Adorably, Somi even commented, "I've never been asked this question before. Everyone is careful, so they won't ask."

Lee Yongjin noted that Somi came out of JYP carefully, and then he asked the reason why.

"I don't think I've been (active) for a long time after I.O.I. That's why I transferred under YG," Somi simply replied.

When asked if she regretted it, Jeon Somi expresses that she never did as she currently loves The Black Label.

But although she left JYP Entertainment, she is still immensely close with the members of TWICE. This was evident as Somi revealed that the TWICE members are good sisters.
