Release, Cast, & More! Here’s What We Know About Netflix’s 'Alice In Borderland' Season 2

Directed by Shinsuke Sato, Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" was a previous immensely popular series on Netflix which was released on the 10th of December, 2020. The Netflix series is a live-action series adaptation of the manga of the same name.

The "Alice in Borderland" manga series was helmed by Haro Aso of Japanese as a Science Fiction Thriller series.

Moreover, Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" is one of the popular streaming site's most famous shows, garnering a 7.7 score on IMDb. On the month of its release in December of 2020, "Alice in Borderland" was able to garner immense success.

The producers of Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" appreciated the unique plot, one-of-a-kind perspectives, breathtaking visuals, and overall outstanding filmmaking of the Netflix show.

The first season of Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" also ended in December of last year, to the dismay of viewers. Usually, the popularity of a show (in terms of views and ratings) is considered by Netflix before renewing a second season, and "Alice in Borderland" was able to pass this criterion.

Notably, the first season of Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" was only about 31 out of the 64 episodes of the manga. Thus, a second season is a must for sure. Media outlets have assumed that the second season might be released either in the 2nd half of 2021 or the first half of 2022. 

Only an official announcement from Netflix is needed but previously, a second season was hinted at by Netflix themselves.

The main cast of Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" was composed of Kento Yamazaki, playing Ryohei Arisu, a gamer that has a high intellect. Alongside Arisu are his pals, Daikichi Karube and Chota Segawa, played by Keita Machida and Yuki Morinaga, respectively. 

Moreover, talented actors and actresses such as Tao Tsuchiya (playing Yuzuha Usagi), Nijiro Murakami (playing Chishiya), Asahina Aya (playing Kuina), Abe Tsuyoshi (playing Kuzuryu), Yoshida Mizuki (playing Asahi), and Naka Riisa (playing Mira) also joined the first season.

Most of the cast is expected to return for the highly-anticipated second season of "Alice in Borderland" such as Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Aya Asahina, Nijiro Murakami, or Riisa Naka.
