YG Entertainment's premiere K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, has been venturing into other areas beyond group releases. Jennie, a BLACKPINK member, dropped the music video of her solo entitled "SOLO" way back in November of 2018. The song became an immediate hit and currently has 628 million views.

As of writing this article, BLACKPINK vocalist Rosé will make her solo debut in 4 days. To entice fans, Rosé started posting on her personal Instagram account posters for her solo entitled "On the Ground." The very first teaser revealed Rosé in a purple, fluffy dress

After the initial post, Rosé has posted seven photos alluring to her solo debut. The song "On the Ground" will be the title track for her solo debut album, which is releasing on March 12.

To hype up Rosé's solo debut, a music video teaser for "On the Ground" was released on BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel on March 7. The fifteen-second clip shows Rosé riding in a car, wearing the same dress she wore in her first teaser photo, but she added a furry coat.

As she is riding the car, a guitar starts playing, and her outfit immediately changes to something less elegant and more comfortable. Rosé then looks at the camera, and the video ends with her name, the date March 12, and the title of the song "On the Ground" on the screen.

The song gives a similar vibe to one of BLACKPINK's earliest songs entitled "STAY" due to the acoustic feel of the ballad. This is a breath of fresh air from BLACKPINK's previous releases as they have heavy beats.

BLINKS and K-pop fans all over the world are excited, and it is expected for Rosé's album to be a huge hit.

After Rosé's release, only Lisa and Jisoo have not released a solo, so it is expected that either one of them, more likely Lisa, will make a solo debut next.
