BIGBANG's Seungri Reveals BLACKPINK Members Remind Him Of His Bandmates & Fans Love His Comparision
BIGBANG Seungri has shown his support to labelmate BLACKPINK. He also revealed that each member of the K-pop group reminds him of his bandmates and fans of both Korean bands find his comparison adorable.
Seungri is clearly missing his BIGBANG buddies. He admitted that he sees G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung to the members of BLACKPINK.
Seungri made a special guest appearance at BLACKPINK's first solo concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul over the weekend. He expressed confidence that BLACKPINK's popularity will reach global, just like BIGBANG. The singer also compared each BLACKPINK member to his own bandmates. He said "DDU-DU DDU-DU" singers shares some similarities with his bandmates.
The "1, 2, 3!" singer said Jennie reminds him of G-Dragon as she looks like she is always in a runway in Paris. "She keeps taking photos with fashion designers and posting them online," Seungri added.
He then compared Lisa's bright aura and energy to Daesung. Jisoo reminds him of T.O.P, who according to him is always unpredictable but also charismatic.
As for Rosé, she reminds him of Taeyang because of powerful vocals. He added that like his bandmate, Rosé is a soulful artist. Then he jokingly said that BLACKPINK doesn't need a member like him as he can't compare himself to anybody else since the female group only has four members.
All members of BIGBANG, except for Seungri, are currently serving their mandatory military service. T.O.P. has been enlisted since February 2017 and expected to be discharged in June 2019. G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung began their military enlistment earlier this year and will be discharged in late 2019. Seungri is expected to begin his enlistment anytime soon.
Meanwhile, both BIGBANG and BLACKPINK fans are loving Seungri sweet gesture towards the latter. Many Blink members expressed gratitude to Seungri for supporting the quartet.
"BLACKPINK doesn't need to resemble a member like you Seungri because you're their 5th member! LOL. I just love Seungri for constantly supporting his juniors and working so hard to keep BIGBANG's presence alive. He is our everything indeed!" one fan commented.
BLACKPINK is currently promoting their latest EP Square Up along with the title track "DDU-DU DDU-DU." The group earlier released the Asia leg tour dates of their In Your Area world tour. BLACKPINK will be visiting Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei starting on January 12, 2019.
