North Korea Missile Test Slammed
North Korea's latest submarine missile test was sharply slammed and criticized by the foreign ministers of South Korea, China, and Japan.
On Wednesday, August 24th, the three countries held a meeting to talk about the missile launch of North Korea. Moreover, China, Japan, and South Korea put aside the issues over territorial disputes and wartime history among the countries but instead, they unite as they show criticisms in the latest missile launch of North Korea.
"North Korea's missile launch is a provocation that simply cannot be tolerated," said by the Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida who led the meeting with South Korea's Yun Byung-se and China's Wang Yi.
According to the South Korean and US officials, North Korea released a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan. Some Seoul officials described the launch of the ballistic missile as an armed protest due to the yearly military drills of South Korea and US where in North Korea labeled it as an invasion rehearsal.
The ballistic missile launch of North Korea is the most latest with a series of rocket, missile and other weapon tests conducted by the North.
"I hope to coordinate closely in order for Japan, China and South Korea to lead the efforts of the international community," Kishida said. He also added that Tokyo launched a protest to North Korea due to the missile and convinced the counterparts to cooperate as they face the latest development.
Yun of South Korea said that the repeated missile tests conducted by North Korea this year demonstrated a rapid advancement of capability and that he shared the concern over the urgent situation with his counterparts.
The three countries, China, Japan, and South Korea show unity in solving the problem and issues regarding the missile launch of North Korea.
