CORTIS Heads to Lollapalooza Next Week — The Only K-Pop Boy Group on This Year's Bill
CORTIS plays Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park during the festival's July 30-Aug. 2 run, marking the Big Hit Music group's first U.S. festival appearance and its only slot on this year's lineup among K-pop boy groups (Aespa and I-dle are also on the bill from the K-pop side). The festival stop kicks off a run that carries CORTIS through its first North American headlining tour and back to Seoul for an anniversary show, all within a five-week window.

This run follows a rockier-than-expected debut for CORTIS as a touring act. The group's first-ever concerts, held July 18-19 at Inspire Arena in Incheon, drew criticism over a roughly 100-minute runtime and a setlist that repeated songs like "Young Creator Crew" and "REDRED" multiple times, given the group's 12-song discography less than a year after its August 2025 debut. Big Hit Music made adjustments for the second Incheon show, and the group has continued promoting the North American leg without pause.
CORTIS' Lollapalooza booking places the five-member group alongside a festival lineup led by Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde and Olivia Dean, with JENNIE, The Smashing Pumpkins and The xx also headlining - a notably different stage than the arena format that drew criticism in Incheon, and one closer to the "Western hip-hop concert" comparison culture critic Kim Sung-soo used to describe the group's Incheon shows.
Fans hoping to catch CORTIS domestically should watch for additional North American tour date announcements, expected to follow the Toronto opener, before the group returns to Seoul in late August.
