BLACKPINK's Jennie is celebrating her 30th birthday with an artistic gift for fans-her first solo photo exhibition opens January 16 in Seoul, featuring never-before-seen images from when she was 25.

The exhibition, titled "J2NNI5," runs through January 29 at Youthquake in Jongno-gu. The clever title blends Jennie's name with the number 25, pointing to the period when these intimate photos were captured.

Unreleased Images from Three Renowned Photographers

Three acclaimed Korean photographers shot the collection: Hong Jang-hyun, Shin Sun-hye, and Mok Jung-wook. Hong, who's worked extensively in Korea's fashion industry for nearly 20 years, has photographed everyone from BTS to international celebrities for publications like American Esquire and WSJ Magazine.

The exhibition promises candid moments rather than polished idol imagery. According to the announcement, visitors will see "the most authentic fragments discovered in unintentional moments"-a departure from Jennie's typically curated public persona.

Personal Project with Charitable Purpose

Jennie was hands-on throughout the entire process, from planning the accompanying photo book to organizing the exhibition space. The venue will reflect her artistic vision through various spatial designs meant to create an immersive experience.

Beyond the displayed works, a photo book containing additional unpublished photos will be released separately.

Tickets go on sale January 9 at 8 PM KST through Melon Ticket. In a generous move, all ticket proceeds will be donated to charity.

Busy Year for the K-Pop Star

The exhibition opens during an eventful period for Jennie. She released her debut solo album Ruby on March 7, 2025, which sold over one million copies globally in its first week. The 15-track album featured collaborations with Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.

Her single "Mantra," released through Columbia Records in October 2024, peaked at number three on the Billboard Global 200. BLACKPINK is currently on their Deadline World Tour, which began in July 2025 in South Korea and runs through January 2026.

Jennie manages her solo career through ODD ATELIER, the agency she founded in 2023 after departing YG Entertainment for individual activities while maintaining her BLACKPINK group contract.

The photo exhibition offers a rare window into Jennie's life during her mid-twenties-a formative period captured authentically rather than for promotional purposes.
