Jungkook GOLDEN Album Breaks Spotify Record with 100 Consecutive Weeks on Global Chart
BTS member Jungkook has achieved a historic milestone as his debut solo album GOLDEN becomes the first K-pop solo release to spend 100 consecutive weeks on Spotify's Weekly Top Albums Global chart.
Record-Breaking Streaming Performance
The 28-year-old artist reached this unprecedented achievement during the chart week of September 26 to October 2, 2025. GOLDEN, released in November 2023, has maintained consistent popularity for nearly two years, surpassing all previous records by Asian solo artists on the platform.
The album has accumulated over 6 billion total streams on Spotify, making it the first and fastest Asian solo album to reach this benchmark.
Three Billion-Stream Songs from One Album
GOLDEN made history as the first Asian solo album with three tracks surpassing 1 billion streams each:
- "Seven" (featuring Latto) - 2.5 billion streams
- "Standing Next to You" - 1.2 billion streams
- "3D" (featuring Jack Harlow) - 1 billion streams
Jungkook now holds four billion-stream songs total, including his collaboration "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth (1.1 billion streams), making him the first Asian solo artist to achieve this feat.
Sustained Chart Success
"Seven," released in July 2023 as the album's pre-release single, has spent 116 consecutive weeks on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global chart as of October 2025. The track became the first by an Asian artist to top Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart for 71 days.
Global Chart Domination
Beyond Spotify, GOLDEN demonstrated remarkable commercial performance:
- Spent 25 weeks on the Billboard 200, a first for any Asian solo artist
- Charted for 8 consecutive weeks on the UK Official Albums Chart, the longest run by a K-pop soloist
- Remained on Apple Music's Worldwide chart for over 620 days
Personal Streaming Milestone
Jungkook's Spotify profile has surpassed 9.7 billion total streams, establishing him as the first K-pop solo artist and fastest Asian act to reach this milestone. He achieved this while serving mandatory military service from December 2023 to June 2025.
The album features 11 tracks with collaborations from Major Lazer, Latto, DJ Snake, and Jack Harlow, showcasing Jungkook's versatility across pop, R&B, and dance genres.
With BTS planning their reunion and new music for 2026, industry observers anticipate Jungkook's next solo project will continue his trajectory as a dominant force in global pop music.
