Netflix ‘Making A Murderer’ Revelations! ‘Look At The Forensic Evidence, Steven Avery Is Guilty’
There's so much buzz surrounding Netflix's "Making a Murderer" that it prompted an online petition regarding the story of Steven Avery, asking President Barrack Obama to pardon his case.
However, legal commentator Nancy Grace commented that viewers of Netflix's popular TV series, "Making a Murderer," are being misled from the truth of it all.
"When you really look at the forensic evidence, Steven Avery is guilty of murdering Teresa Halbach," Grace said in an interview during the TCA Hallmark party as reported by ET Online. "And as a crime victim myself I resent the betrayal of the truth, and it makes people mistrust the system. And I don't like what it's doing to our justice system."
She further shared her thoughts on the Netflix documentary.
"It's a beautifully put together documentary that leaves out over half the story, the 52-year-old host explained further. "I think 'Making a Murderer' has caught so much attention because it motivates people to try and 'do the right thing' and I respect that. I'm trying to do that too. They're simply misled on the facts."
Netflix's "Making a Murder" is a 10-part documentary that covers the story of Steven Avery's arrest and conviction for murder in a small Wisconsin town after being released and exonerated following 18 years of imprisonment for sexual assault and attempted murder, which was filmed for almost a decade.
Since its release, the series has already prompted an online petition on WeThePeople that had more than 275,000 viewers signing it and asking President Barrack Obama to overturn Steven Avery's conviction for murdering Teresa Halbach back in October 2005, The Guardian reported.
However, Meghan Daum of LA Times pointed out that although Netflix's "Making a Murderer" about Steven Avery is upsetting, she reminds viewers that what the clamorers have seen is a multipart movie and not the trial itself, LA Times noted.
