New 'Legends Of Tomorrow' Cast To Give A Glimpse Of Future? Is She A Hero Or Villain?
An actress highly familiar with sci-fi has joined the "Legends of Tomorrow" cast.
TV line reported that Jewel Staite, known for her roles in cult show "Firefly" and "Stargate Atlantis," has joined the cast of the upcoming CW Network TV series as a genius from the future.
"TVLine has learned exclusively that the Firefly and Stargate Atlantis alum will guest-star on the The CW's upcoming, timey-wimey Arrow/Flash offshoot as Rachel Turner, a tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today. Is this new "Legends of Tomorrow" cast going to play a villain or a hero? The TV Line report says Rachel Turner's intention is to prevent her creations from landing in the hands of Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
"A descendant of a long line of inventors - one of whom turns out to be someone from the DC Universe! - Rachel believes that her creations can make that world a better place," it said.
"Alas, what the brilliant beauty cannot foresee is that her work is destined to fall into the hands of immortal baddie Vandal Savage, who will use it to take over the world. Unless Rachel can team up with the Legends to stop him."
"Legends of Tomorrow" release date is Jan. 21 and it will debut on the same week as the mid-season premiere of "Arrow" season 4 and "The Flash" season 2. The major characters are already completed, although the cast can still change.

The "Legends of Tomorrow" cast is lead by "Arrow" and "The Flash" guest stars like Brandon Routh (The Atom), Victor Garber (Firestorm/Dr. Martin Stein), Caity Lotz (White Canary), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), and Dominic Purcell (Heatwave).
