Airtel 4G Girl Sasha Chettri Unaffected By Internet Trolls; Calls It A Part Of Work
Airtel 4G girl, Sasha Chettri is famous in India as the "most irritating girl," according to Times of India.
Chettri had faced many internet trolls because of the extensive publicity done by the Airtel Company for their Airtel 4G commercial. It is also speculated that Airtel has become the most undesirable brand after their short publicity stint.
Sasha has also been called as the most annoying Airtel 4G girl on social media websites like Twitter. There are many videos all over the web, specifically on YouTube, making fun of the 19-year-old teenager.
Chettri has become the most disliked person on the Indian internet, reported Next Shark.
A person named, Sahil Shah, has posted a video making fun of Chettri, Story Pick reported. In the video, he commented hilariously on the commercial and other service providers too.
Buzzfeed reported that Sasha had no idea that she would have to face such high negative reactions from the audiences. Chettri also said that she was unaware of the Airtel's plans of extensive publicity.
"No one ever saw the campaign getting so big and I didn't either," said Sasha as reported by Adage India. "So, well, I didn't think the ads would get such a reaction."
Sasha has handled all the criticism for her Airtel 4G ad in a mature way. "I get trolled, a lot, but I guess that's just natural," said Chettri as reported by North Lines.
"I don't take it personally," she added. "I mean people like you, hate you and love you. I'm just doing my job. To all the people who know the business of advertising, they know how this stuff works."
The Airtel 4G ad, which is now under scrutiny, was launched in August last year. Sasha Chettri played the lead character for the commercial, where she promoted all the features of the Airtel 4G service as the leading telecommunication brand in India.
The ads were continuously telecasted on the Indian televisions on almost all the channels. The Airtel 4G commercial featuring Sasha was aired for more than 60 thousand times in a span of just two months.
Sasha Chettri is a model, musician and actress from Dehradun, India. She started her modeling career as the Airtel 4G girl, but earlier worked as a trainee copywriter. Her music album is rumored to be released soon.
