New LG OLED Panel Revealed; Ultra Thin And Flexible To Be Rolled Up Like A Sheet Of Paper!

LG is showing off at CES 2015, its new flexible screens- an 18-inch OLED Panel that can be rolled up like a sheet of paper!
Though the rivalling display manufacturers like LG, Samsung, sony, etc have been unveiling flexible displays earlier, this concept is more stunningly advanced! This new 18-inch OLED Panel can just be rolled up like a newspaper.
The interesting feature as cited by ExtremeTech is the size of the panel. While most other displays were bendable at various smaller sizes and curved ( that have been in stores for a while now), this product stands out with its size aspect and the ability to roll it up. This brings in wild possibilities such as a second screen for a smartphone or a full-blown tablet with an on-screen keyboard that could just be rolled onto a table to work on.
According to Mashable: On the OLED side, the company will be showing off a 65-inch rollable display that can be "rolled-up like a newspaper". How this panel varies from that of other Korean elecctronics' concepts remains unclear. However, it is assumed that the new rollable OLED panel is likely to feature better resolution and to be hitting the markets at its earliest.
The benefits of such a rollable display would be of transporting it from one place to another (Obviously!). So as such Monitors get lighter in weight, moving a normal TV or a computer monitor could get more complicated (While the former should be easier and thus increases its commercial use).
In addition to the LG's Rollable OLED Panel, other products such as a dual-window 55-inch LCD and a 139-inch Vertical Tiling OLED Panel, a 25-inch waterfall curved LCD designed for car interiors and a 10.3-inch car display. These light-weighted, flexible, rollable screen are likely to be a hallmark of the CES 2016. This would evolve as technology gets better and more energy-efficient!
