Lenovo's New ThinkPad X1 Series Specs Unveiled; 'Yoga' The First Ever Tablet With OLED!

Lenovo has unveiled a line of new ThinkPad X1 series of products (laptops, hybrids, desktops and tablets) with advanced features. Specs and pricing have been emphasized.

TechnoBuffalo has cited the range of new additions to its ThinkPad X1 line up namely:

1. Carbon: The Lightest 14-inch Ultrabook on the market offering 11 hours of battery life equipped with a 6th-gen Core i7 processor and featured with 16 GB RAM and 1TB SSD Storage. This runs Windows 10 OS and is likely to launch in February 2016 at cost of around $1299.

2. Yoga: A two-in-one Hybrid with a 14-inch OLED display, equipped with a 6th-gen Core i7 chip, featured with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage and also comes with a stylus pen. It is likely to launch this month at a cost of $1,499.

3. Tablet: A 12-inch 1080 Pixel display featuring 16 GB RAM and supporting USB-C. Lenovo is also offering three different add-on modules:

o   Productivity module: priced at $149 with 5 hours of battery, HDMI and other ports.

o   Presenter module: Priced at $279, it includes a built-in projector

o   3D imaging module: Priced at $149, it lets you capture and edit real world objects for graphic designing and 3D printing.

4. Desktops: two new computers to be launched in March:

o   ThinkCentre X1: Features a sleek 11 mm thick aluminium design packed with 23.8-inch 1080-pixel display, priced at $1029.

o   ThinkVision X1: Features a 27-inch 3840 X 2160-pixel display with USB-C and an adjustable camera, priced at $799.

5. X1 Branded Accessory:

o   New Wireless Touch Mouse with a rechargeable 380mAh battery priced at $69.99

o   In-Ear headphones priced at $69.99 

To add to the specs news, PcWorld has cited that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 series of products has boasted some glitzy new technology that includes an OLED display on its X1 Yoga Hybrid and newfangled docks features in its X1 tablet. The company has claimed that the Yoga version would be the first ever hybrid in the world with OLED display.

All the products of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 hybrid series have optional LTE-advanced mobile connectivity, USB-C port, Wi-Fi, WiGig, and a range of display slots.
