Newest Innovations In Consumer Technology On Display At 2014 International CES

LG has officially announced the Super UHD TV to be launched this year. It is expected to feature a massive 98 inch 8K monster and performance enhancing technologies that might go beyond the basic 4K Ultra HD TVs.

The President and CEO of the company has released a statement about the product.

"We're confident our 2016 HDR-enabled SUPER UHD TV will generate much excitement not only in the industry, but also with consumers in general" he said, as cited by hometheaterreview.com, "We are the only company with a dual strategy focused on both OLED and UHD TV technologies, and this is proof that we're committing to delivering the most advanced picture quality and home entertainment innovations to consumers around the world."

Here's everything that you need to know about LG's 2016 Super UHD TV lineup:

Three Series + one Giant 8K Monster:

The Super Ultra High Definition (SUHD) series will be comprising of three models in multiple screen sizes along with a standalone attention-grabbing 98-inch 8K feature.

1. The UH9500 (Screen sizes 55-86 inches)

2. The UH8500 (Screen sizes 55-75 inches)

3.  The UH7700 (Screen sizes 49-65 inches)

All three of them are expected to offer what LG calls HDR Plus, meaning, all of them could process and display High Dynamic Range content from a variety of sources, include LG's color Prime Tech for enhanced color brightness. This series will also apply processing that aims at improving non-HDR content for an HDR-like experience. They will all include the company's IPS panel (known for its advanced off-axis performance) and contrast maximizer.

New Ultra-Thin Design:

The series will also be featuring Flat Ultra Slim Design. UH9500 is expected to be just 6.6 mm thick with the borders around the TV to be almost invisible, creating a "floating in air" look, according to the source above.

Audio: The company maintains premium sound quality with its special speaker system designed in coordination with Harman/Kardon, considering the previous TV H/K audio systems of the releases.

WebOS 3.0: The announced products will presumably run with the latest Web S 3.0 Software. The new version of the company's easy UI appears to offer simpler switching of channels, easier content discovery from available over-the-top-services, a new zoom feature, Newly designed Magic motion remote control.

Display: The unit's 98-inch 8K and 105-inch 21:9 5K displays have already been encountered, the 98-inch 8K display offering four times the resolution of that of 4K Ultra HD TVs at a massive screen size.

The 8K content is being experimented with, thus an 8K future might nor be a hard one to envision.

However, the thin distinction of the new Super Ultra HD TVs from LG is something that is expected to emerge as a superior rival among other high end UHD TVs.
