'Supergirl' Series Episodes Spoilers: Superman Villain To Appear

The popular CBS series "Supergirl" will be back on Monday night after a quick winter break with a brand new episode and a new yet borrowed villain. Borrowed because the said villain is a nemesis of her famous cousin Superman in DC Comics.

According to a post in Movie Web, the episode that will be shown on Jan. 4 will be entitled "Blood Bonds", wherein fans of the "Supergirl" series will witness the villain named Non in action. Non husband of Kara's aunt and he has only been seen in such a short time up to this point. Non will be played by Chris Vance. Below is the plot of the episode written by Movie Web:

"In Blood Bonds, Astra (Laura Benanti), the evil twin sister of Kara's mother Alura, is being held in captivity at the DEO. Her husband Non has captured Hank, leading to a tense standoff between the two sides."

Apart from Non, Kara will also have to face another boss - her actual boss. Actress Calista Flockhart will portray Kara's boss Cat Grant who, in the coming episode, will figure out that Supergirl is on her payroll. Naturally, Kara will try to deny her identity despite being caught. Another preview for the episode also takes a sneak peek of the possible arrival of a new villain named Toyman, who will be played by Jeremy Jordan on the series.

But the most intriguing part of the promo is the scene where in Maxwell Lord (played by Peter Facinelli) is hitting James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) in the stomach with a wrench.

"For us, the best villains are the ones who aren't mustache-twirling, 'I want to kill everybody,'" according to Andrew Kreisberg, who is the series' executive producer, in an interview in Entertainment Weekly early December. "Max really believes he's out to protect the human race. He says in an upcoming episode, 'When Gods walk the Earth, it's mortals that get the short end of the stick.' He doesn't see the difference between Supergirl and the rest of them, just in the same way that General Lane [Glenn Morshower] doesn't."

Catch the new pisode of the CBS series "Supergirl" on Monday, Jan. 4. Watch the trailer here.
