Samsung Galaxy S7 Specs Released; Unit To Come In Three Sizes?
According to various rumours, Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be available by February 2016. While the latest rumour is that the unit will make its way out in three different variants namely the "Samsung Galaxy S7," "Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus" and "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge". While the former sports a 5.2 inches display, the latter would have a larger display of 5.5 inches with curved sides. This was also reported by South Korea's Electronic times. Yet another rumour reveals that there might be an additional Samsung Galaxy S7 plus that would have a huge display of 6 inches.
It is also rumoured that the initial production will be about 5 million Samsung galaxy S7 phones. Out of which 3.3 million will be Samsung Galaxy S7 and 1.6 million will be Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Gizmochina displays leaked picture of Samsung Galaxy S7 that portrays features such as: a rectangular shaped home button, raised rear camera sensor and a design that is similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S6. It also shows that the Volume adjustment keys placed on the left and the power button in its usual position at the right. The bottom includes the Micro USB port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
It is also heard that Samsung Galaxy S7 might come equipped with an iris scanner to unlock the device with our eyes. This Iris scanner's addition could cause a huge hike in the price of the new flagship device.
Other rumoured Specs include USB Type-C charging, Pressure- sensitive display (like the 3D Touch feature of Apple devices iPhone 6S and 6S plus). The magnesium alloy casing is expected to make it a light-weighted device. It might be powered by the latest snapdragon processor and might contain 4GB RAM. Camera specifications could be16 MP rare facing camera and a 5 MP front camera.
According to reports, Samsung Inc might release(in February 2016) the three variants of Samsung Galaxy S7 series smartphones to pick from : Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S& Plus and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
