Louis Vuitton Gets “Final Fantasy XIII” Character Lightning; Not First Time For Game Series!

Louis Vuitton gets "Final Fantasy XIII" character Lightning to model for them, according to The Verge.

"Final Fantasy XIII" has always been one of the popular games of its game franchise and it already spans three games. Its protagonist, Lightning, is a warrior that has gone through different transitions throughout the game series. The game has recently been ported to the PC and the third sequel "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" PC version will be coming soon.

Today, the "Final Fantasy XIII" character has moved on to another level and that is modeling, according to sources. Lightning has been spotted modeling for Louis Vuitton handbags. She has appeared on a series of ads for the popular French fashion house.

It is not the first time that a major fashion house has used "Final Fantasy" characters as models, according to Quartz. Aside from Louis Vuitton, Prada has also used "Final Fantasy XIII" characters like Lightning and the others to show off a collection last 2012.

Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquiere has recently posted different photos of Lightning modeling the Louis Vuitton handbags, according to Uber Gizmo. He is also responsible for posting the video above in his Instagram page. It was also revealed that Ghesquiere is interested in different digital and fantasy works. His spring collection was actually inspired from different sci-fi, manga, anime and video games.

Ghesquiere's past works were inspired from popular anime franchises like "Sailor Moon" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion." There was also one time that the set was lined up with video screens had references from the popular video game "Minecraft," according to sources.

For the opening look of the fashion show recently, many have noticed that a model was wearing the same clothes of Lightning in the new ad. There was another model who also wore a similar style. Some sites speculate that Louis Vuitton's acquisition of "Final Fantasy XIII's" character, Lightning, can get them customers from the fans of the game.
