‘The Witness’ Video Game Screenshot Video Leaked; Boxed Edition Confirmed?
"The Witness" video game released another video which showcases another long screenshot, according to Gaming Bolt.
"The Witness" is an upcoming 3D puzzle video game. It was created by Jonathan Blow and it is in development and published by Thekla, Inc. The game is set for release on Jan. 26, 2016. It will be launched on PlayStation and Microsoft Windows. It will also be launched on iOS at a later date. The game is inspired by "Myst," another puzzle video game. Players will have to explore and open world which is filled with a number of natural and man-made structures.
A long screenshot video has been released recently for players to view. The video can be viewed below.
Blow and the team are using their final month for polishing different features, according to Engadget. The team is now focusing on voiceovers and language support. There are also fixes for the remaining bugs and small gameplay tweaks on the side. "The Witness" video game will have an impressive list of languages supported at launch. Some of the languages supported are Hungarian, Arabic and Russian.
"Of all the languages, supporting Arabic took by far the most programming work, and as you can see from some gaps between the letters, and a couple of cases where letters are too close to each other, it's not quite done yet," said Blow in a blog post. "I will be working on that as soon as I finish with this blog posting!"
"The Witness" video game might have a boxed edition when it is released, according to PC Gamer.
"We have been in talks with a couple of parties for a while about that possibility," said Blow in a blog post. "*However*, it looks like if there is a retail release, it won't happen until a little bit after the digital release."
"The reason is just that we need all the time we can get up until the release date in order to get all the finishing touches into the game; but because of the lead-time involved in physical manufacturing and distribution," he continued.
