Avenged Sevenfold And ‘Guitar Hero Live’ Collaborate; New Show Called ‘A7X Rock Classics!’

Activision Reveals Guitar Hero Live's GHTV At E3 2015 In Los Angeles

Avenged Sevenfold and "Guitar Hero Live" collaborate on an online show of the game, according to Gamespot.

"Guitar Hero Live" is a music video game. It was developed by FreeStyleGames and published by Activision. The game was launched on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One last October 2015. It was also launched on iOS devices like the Apple TV in November 2015. Avenged Sevenfold or sometimes called as A7X is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1999. They are known for diverse rock sound and unique imagery in album covers and merchandise.

Today, Activision has announced a new type of campaign, which is themed around the rock/metal band Avenged Sevenfold. They will be hosting an in-game show called "A7X Rock Classics." The group will guide players through some of their favorite music that can be played in "Guitar Hero Live."

Avenged Sevenfold will go through the "Guitar Hero Live" soundtracks and select their favorites from Pantera, Megadeth, AFI, Queensryche, Deftones, Faith No More, Tenacious D and more, according to Loudwire. GHTV will rebroadcast the episode over the next week and a few more on a few select dates.

It was also announced that to celebrate the new show it will feature the playable concert footage recorded at the band's recent performance at England's Download Festival, according to iDigitalTimes. This footage will be added into GHTV on Dec. 22. The show will also include live, playable version of the band's songs like "Shepherd of Fire," "Buried Alive" and "Nightmare."

Activision will also be giving away guitars signed by Avenged Sevenfold on the "Guitar Hero Live" social media channels, according to Blabbermouth. They will also sell the band's albums and merchandise there. "Guitar Hero Live" is now available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and the iPod touch.
