Disney Reveals ‘Star Wars’ Toy Unboxing Event Worldwide Via YouTube

On Tuesday Night, Disney took to YouTube a "Global Toy Unboxing Live Stream Event" for the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" showing brand new toys that are based from the latest movie.

Geek Wire noted on Thursday the YouTube video featured 18 hours of footage from 15 cities in 12 countries and showed the exhilarating unboxing of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" toys by several YouTubers from the Makers Studios network.

According to an article published by Variety on Wednesday, the preview was released by Disney to spark the anticipation and excitement of the "Star Wars" fans for the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" movie and merchandise.

Some of the toys that were featured in the unboxing included the Lego's Millenium Falcon, Ren's personal Command Shuttle and Poe's X-wing fighter; Hasbro's BladeBuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber, Nerf First Order Stormtrooper Deluxe Blaster , Poe's X-Wing Vehicle, Micro Machines First Order Star Destroyer and Battle Action Millennium Falcon; and Spin Master's X-Wing Starfighter  and Air Hogs remote-controlled Millennium Falcon Quad.

The first toy was revealed in Australia followed by Asia, Europe, Canada, South America and ended in the United States with "Star Wars" toy fanatics raving about the gears in different languages.

Most of the featured toys will be on sale in retail outlets, including Disney Store, Target and Toys 'R' Us for the "Force Friday" promo on Sept. 4 where toy sales of the movie franchie may go over $5 billion in the next 12 months from the movie's premiere, added Variety.

Melty noted on their article last month the "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" movie trailer was released in South Korea and featured new footage that has never before seen in the North American original version.

The "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set to be release in the U.S. on Dec. 18.
