Branded as South Korea's best actor by Grand Bell and Blue Dragon Film Awards, Choi Min Sik shared about his experiences in filming upcoming movie entitled, "The Tiger: An Old Hunter's Tale". In an interview with Yonhap News Agency posted Dec. 11, the 53-year-old actor revealed that he did not know what he was doing at first.

"At first, I didn't know what the heck I was doing," Choi says. "It was frustrating but I tried to enjoy the process as time went on."

The South Korean actor plays the role of Mandeok who is a tiger hunter. Choi said he would imagine a real tiger whenever filming for the movie in order to fight awkward discomfort.

Choi says, "Realistically, we couldn't just borrow a tiger from a zoo. It was something I had to somehow overcome. But I don't think I'd be able to do it again. I need 'something' to work with!"

Meanwhile, the veteran actor commended the film's CGI team and said that the team will have the credit if "The Tiger" turns successful.

"I was worried about how the CGI would turn out, as any actor would. But not only did it not interfere with the flow, it gave the movie a positive, synergetic effect. If the movie becomes a success, it'll all be due to our CGI team," he says.

He goes on, "Once the movie comes out, I know I will monitor how many people have watched it. But that shouldn't become the arbiter of success. Actors should live on the fun we have on stage, not on the number of people who watch our movies."

On the other hand, Korean Film posted that the upcoming film is set in the Japanese Imperial period in South Korea. The website added that the unending relationship of Mandeok and Daeho (tiger) will be the center of the film.

The upcoming South Korean film is written and directed by Park Hoon Jung and is set be released on December 17.
