Fans of the widely acclaimed hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, were surprised to hear about the rappers' rare single-copy album, "Once Upon A Time In Shaolin", which was sold for $2 million, has a unique contract clause in the event it gets stolen, according to sources.

In early March this year, the iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan producer and de facto lead member RZA, otherwise known by his real name as Robert Diggs, announced that the Clan would create and put out only one copy of its next album, "Once A Upon A Time In Shaolin", and sell it to the highest bidder, as reported by Bloomberg.

"We're about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of music," RZA told Forbes, courtesy of the source.

"We're making a single-sale collector's item. This is like someone having the scepter of an Egyptian King," he added.

The rare 31-track single-copy album was only heard by RZA and his co-producer, Tarik "Cilvaringz" Azzougarh, who both vowed to sell just one copy with a seven-digit price tag and destroyed all duplicates, as reported by NPR.

The rare album was placed in a hand-carved nickel and silver box, along with a 174-page leather-bound book containing anectodes, lyrics, and credits, and they also threw in a pair of speakers worth $55,000 and a "gold-leafed certificate of authenticity," according to the source.

However, fans were appalled to discover that the album was bought by Martin Shkreli for a whopping $2 million, according to Bloomberg.

Shkreli made headlines earlier this year when the Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO increased the price of Daraprim, a drug used to treat AIDS and cancer patients from $13.50 to $750, as stated by Pitchfork.

Despite that, there has been speculations that the contract Shkreli signed came with a very unique clause (in the event that it gets stolen) of which it stated that every active member of the Wu-Tang Clan is entitled to steal back the album with no legal repercussion that also included Bill Murray, courtesy of a contract text posted to Twitter
