Justin Theroux's Honeymoon With Jennifer Aniston Almost Cost Him His Life? Details On Stay Released!

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston's six-figure honeymoon almost had a tragic ending after a near-death experience, according to Yahoo.

The "Leftovers" actor shared the harrowing tale of how he nearly drowned while scuba diving in Bora Bora on "Live With Kelly and Michael."

Theroux felt comfortable in the water after taking some scuba diving lessons. After seeing beautiful coral and fish during his ten-feet dive, the actor decided he wanted to have a second go at it.

On the second day he brought friends along and traveled out on a boat, but was not joined by the instructor the previous day. A new French scuba diver instructor who did not understand English very well joined the group, reported E.

After the group dove down, Justin Theroux realized he was on red. The actor signaled the need to return to the surface but the instructor ignored his request and did not appear to be too concerned.

"I swim over and start tapping on the thing and showing it too him," Theroux explained. "He's just like keep swimming, keep swimming."

The actor followed the instructions and tried to enjoy the scenery but after a second look at the tank, he realized he was facing danger because his oxygen supply was close to empty.

The instructor gave Theroux an emergency respirator the sent water down the actor's throat and bubbles everywhere, revealed Cosmopolitan.

"So now I'm coughing and hacking underwater," said Theroux. "You're brain goes to this crazy place. You're like, Oh my god, this is a plot to kill me on my honeymoon."

Eventually, Justin Theroux made it back up to the surface safely with the group, got on the boat and back to his new wife, Jennifer Aniston.

Theroux later learned the instructor didn't want to bring the group back to the surface as they had traveled far from the boat. The reason being at that level, it would have been too difficult to swim back.
