IU Secures Another Luxury Brand Under Her Belt, Superstar Named Gucci’s Newest Global Brand Ambassador
May is ending on an amazing note for IU as the global superstar has been named by the Italian luxury brand Gucci as their most recent global brand ambassador!

On the 30th of May KST, Gucci uploaded a photo of IU on the red carpet at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. In the post, the superstar rocked a glamorous Gucci gown. Fans were stunned at how beautiful IU looked in the dress.
The luxury brand captioned its photo, "Global Brand Ambassador IU was captured at the 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival wearing a Gucci gown with lace rebrodé petal details on the cuffs, as well as sequin flowers and crystal embellishments on the skirt."
Just recently, IU attended the 75th Cannes Film Festival in France. This is because her movie "Broker" was nominated for the film festival's Palme d'Or.

Though IU has been a Korean ambassador for Gucci since 2020, this is the first time Gucci has officially called the "LILAC" singer their global ambassador. Though a representative of Gucci explained, "Due to competition with another brand, it's difficult to reveal exactly when IU signed a contract as a global ambassador."
As of writing this article, IU is now the fourth Korean celebrity to be named as a global brand ambassador for the Italian luxury brand. Prior to the "Broker" star, EXO's Kai, Shin Min Ah, and Lee Jung Jae have been representing Gucci worldwide.
