‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Game Confirmed; Rating Released!
A "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" game is now in development by Platinum Games, according to IGN.
Platinum Games is an independent Japanese developer that has developed many popular games like "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance" and the "Bayonetta" game franchise. They have worked with other gaming companies to help out with 3D design and gameplay. Recently they partnered with Nintendo to bring about "Bayonetta 2" when Sega did not support them for the sequel.
Based on a new entry in the Australian Classification Board's ratings database, Platinum Games is now readying for a new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" game. Also in the entry, the game will be called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan," according to sources.
The game will be playable on different platforms such as PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, according to VG247. The developers will partner with Activision as the publisher of the upcoming game.
The game will be rated M due to the moderate violence content it has. In Australia, the M category is not a legally restricted category. It is usually applied to games and films that are recommended for audiences that are age 15 and over, according to sources.
Platinum Games has worked with publisher Activision with two other licensed game titles which are the "Transformers Devastation" and "The Legend of Korra," according to Polygon. The game has still not been officially announced by both game developer and publisher. The game website is trying to reach out to Activision for confirmation. This is the third licensed project the game developer has completed for the game publisher, Activision in just 12 months.
In addition, aside from developing the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" game, Platinum is developing other games at the moment like "Scalebound" for the Xbox One, "Star Fox Zero" for the Wii U and "Nier: Automata" for PlayStation 4.
