Fall Guys Is Going Free-to-play And Diving It's Way To Nintendo Switch and Xbox
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, the battle royale obstacle course simulator, is going free-to-play and will arrive on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles on June 21st. The family-friendly online multiplayer party game adds you to a starting line of up to 60 players. From there, you will all sprint, jump, and dive across rounds of colorful randomized obstacle courses until one bean-shaped guy is crowned victorious.
The game first launched on PlayStation and PC but was initially set to be released on Switch and Xbox last summer. It's finally arriving on the platforms a few months later. A dedicated PS5 version of the game will be released on June 21st as well. Game progression will be shared across platforms, and you'll be able to form cross-platform parties.

The developer Mediatonic, now owned by Fortnite maker Epic Games, revealed the leap to free-to-play, the new versions, and a full package of updates on the way for Fall Guys in a video posted last Monday. The upcoming changes will include a map editor, free skins for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, and that players will be able to exchange crowns for kudos, which can be used in the in-game store.
Existing players who have played the game before its free-to-play change will get a Legacy Pack of perks, including three outfits, a title and nameplate, and access to a premium season pass. Also, preregistering on the Epic Games site will unlock communal milestone perks for the game.

PC players of the paid versions of the game can continue using the Steam version once the game goes free-to-play. However, Mediatonic noted on its blog post that new PC players will have to download and play the game on the Epic Games Store.
As of writing this article, the Steam version is on sale with no indication when it will be delisted. The switch to free-to-play could let players spend cash on skins instead. Some of the iconic costumes available include the Crewmate (or Impostor) from Among Us, Sonic The Hedgehog, and potentially the new bean skin of Ezio from Assassin's Creed.
