ITZY Is Sweeping Japan, ‘Voltage’ Dominates Oricon Chart!

ITZY stood out on Japan's local album charts with their 1st Japanese single "Voltage."

ITZY's first original Japanese single "Voltage," officially released on April 6, recorded 21,467 points and climbed to 2nd place on the Japanese Oricon daily singles chart. It took the top spot on the reservation chart and the K-Pop/World sales chart, confirming the girl group's hot local fandom.

Also, as of the 6th, "Voltage" was ranked 2nd on the Japanese iTunes K-Pop Daily Album Chart and 8th on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.

Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna conducted a live online event to commemorate the release of 'Voltage' through ITZY Japan's official YouTube channel at 8 pm on the 6th and met with local fans. 

 

Here, ITZY spent a special time watching music videos together and talking about its new album. In addition, the performance of the new song "Voltage," which stands out for its intense military choreography, was unveiled for the first time, boasting ITZY's power as K-Pop's representative performer.

ITZY's newest album contains a total of 4 tracks including the title song "Voltage," the b-side song "Spice," and the instrumental versions of the two tracks.

The title song "Voltage" is characterized by strong rap and rock sounds, and it compares the group's exhilarating energy to the song name and contains a confident message of "we will move forward confidently." The music video for 'Voltage', was released.

 

ITZY released their best album "IT'z ITZY" in Japan on December 22, 2021, and threw a ticket to the local music industry. In November of last year, the JYP Entertainment girl group appeared on TV Asahi's "Music Station," a representative Japanese music program.
