‘Rocket League’ Gets New ‘Portal-’ Themed Items; New DLC Coming This December!
"Rocket League" will get new "Portal-" themed items will be available next month, according to Push Square.
"Rocket League" is a physics-based vehicle soccer ball video game. It was developed and published by Psyonix and was released for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game was launched on July 7, 2015.
The game is a sequel to "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars" last 2008. "Rocket League" has the same features to its predecessor and includes single and multiplayer modes. Players can play on local mode and online mode, which includes cross-platform gameplay.
Next month, the game will have officially-licensed "Portal" items on PC and PlayStation 4, according to IGN. Psyonix announced that there will be nine new items to be added in the game. There will be Conversion, Propulsion and Repulsion gels which are all converted into rocket trails.
In addition, there is also the Aperture Laboratories logo, a cake sticker, companion cube, PotatOS and a personality core which are all antenna customizations for the vehicles. The famous "Cake" is also turned into a topper.
All of these items will be for free, according to Bleeding Cool. The "Rocket League" "Portal" items will be one of the many DLC packs that will be available for players to acquire next month.
There is also another DLC coming next month, but it is not for free. Aside from "Rocket League" getting "Portal" items for customization, the Chaos Run DLC will also be available for purchase. The DLC will include two new cars, an arena, and more customization items for the game. The price tag for the DLC will be $4.
There is also a free hockey-inspired mode for "Rocket League" which will arrive specifically on Dec. 14. This will also bring new items in the game and there will be a new event to play. This mode will have a winter theme.
