BLINKs Boycott ‘2022 Welcoming Collection’, Demanding Better Treatment For BLACKPINK!
Just recently on the 14th of February, YG Entertainment went on to announce that BLACKPINK will have a new release. But BLINKs (the fandom name of BLACKPINK) are not happy with what their K-pop girl group will be dropping soon!
YG Entertainment announced that on the 2nd of March, the "2022 Welcoming Collection" DVD will be released and it shows off each of the BLACKPINK members' unique personalities. While netizens and K-pop fans are happy to see the K-pop group get more attention, they were hoping to hear new news regarding BLACKPINK's comeback.
Netizens and BLINKs are more interested with BLACKPINK's comeback rather than YG Entertainment's most recent announcement. The announcement was also made on YouTube on the 14th of February via a 30 second video.
It has approximately been 500 days since the K-pop girl group made their return and fans are getting impatient. In the video, the comments from netizens targeted YG Entertainment, protesting that they want updates for BLACKPINK's comeback and they want it now.
Shortly after the release of the video, BLINKs began trending "#WeWantBLACKPINKMusic" on Twitter. Some BLACKPINK fans even went on to exclaim: "No music, no money."
A lot of netizens and BLINKs have also noticed the similarities with BLACKPINK's previous "Welcoming Collection." Others have pointed out that some of the images used may have been recycled for the K-pop girl group's coming release.
BLINKs have been patiently waiting for BLACKPINK's comeback and YG Entertainment has not officially released any announcement regarding the K-pop girl group's release. Fans are hoping that BLACKPINK will make a comeback or two this 2022!
