Just recently on the 13th of February, actress Park Shin Hye received a lot of malicious comments from Chinese netizens on her personal Instagram page after posting a photograph of her wearing the traditional Korean clothing, the hanbok.

In Park Shin Hye's photo, the actress was rocking a green hanbok that was perfectly made for her as her features were truly highlighted. The icon was also showing off her beautiful smile.

Park Shin Hye's caption on her recent Instagram post was the follow:

"#hanbok #koreantraditionalclothes I thought I had worn it enough during the filming of 'The Royal Tailor', but it's always nice to wear it again."

Although a lot of fans praised the actress, Park Shin Hye was then attacked with a myriad of malicious comments from Chinese netizens regarding the hanbok that she was wearing. Seeing this, Korean netizens and fans of Park Shin Hye defended the actress.

Notably, the hanbok issue is a rather popular recent debate. Notably, at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the event featured women wearing hanbok as representatives of 56 ethnic minorities.

"The hanbok belongs to the Korean Peninsula and also belongs to the Chinese Joseon. The Chinese Joseon and the Korean Peninsula have the same ancestry. They have a common traditional culture, including clothing," the Chinese Embassy in Korea commented.

The statement from the Chinese Embassy in Korea was to try and lessen the anti-China sentiment, but it backfired and only brought up more hostility.

Netizens and fans are now hoping that Park Shin Hye is doing well after possibly seeing the malicious comments expressed towards her due to her recent Instagram post.
