BTS, IU, TWICE, & More: 2021’s Most Influential Korean Singers!

Is your favorite Korean singer amongst the most influential of 2021? Find out below!

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 20th of December KST, Korean research institute Gallup Korea revealed via an announcement the results of the most recent survey they have conducted which is entitled "The Most Influential Individuals" of this year.

Notably, Gallup Korea has been conducting the survey every year for 14 years since 2007 and the research institute's list of individuals have been consisting of famous celebrities such as singers, actors, comedians, and even TV personalities.

For this 2021, the research institute has gone on to conduct its survey on a nationwide scale but does not include Jeju Island. Over 5,100 citizens with the age range of 13 and above participated and the survey spanned three separate periods.

The three periods being the 8th of July to the 27th of August, the 2nd of September to the 4th of October, and 5th up until the 28th of November.

Without further ado, here are the Top 10 Most Influential Individuals of this year, According to Gallup Korea (30 years old and below category):

#10 Brave Girls garnering 4.3% of total votes

#8 AKMU and Taeyeon garnering 5.2% of total votes

#7 TWICE garnering 5.3% of total votes

#6 aespa garnering 6.5% of total votes

#5 Lim Young Woong garnering 7% of total votes

#4 Lee Mu Jin garnering 9.2% of total votes

#3 BLACKPINK garnering 10.4% of total votes

#2 IU garnering 32.1% of total votes

#1 BTS garnering 45.6% of total votes

As per the results, almost half of the votes went to the most popular musical group not only in Korea, but the whole world as well, HYBE's very own BTS.
