‘Fight For My Way’ Actress Kim Ji Won Is Reportedly Leaving SALT Entertainment

Various media outlets have reported that actress Kim Ji Won is expected to leave SALT Entertainment.

According to reports published on October 27, Kim Ji Won is not renewing her contract with SALT Entertainment and looking to transfer to a new agency. Currently, many agencies are hoping to meet with Kim Ji Won and sign her,

SALT Entertainment was quick to shut down the reports about their contract with Kim Ji Won. In a cautious response, SALT Entertainment stated that is not yet the time for the agency and Kim Ji Won to discuss contract renewal.

Despite SALT Entertainment's statement, many industry insiders are said to view Kim Ji Won's alleged agency transfer as an established fact.

Kim Ji Won signed with SALT Entertainment in February 2020. Such news was announced by SALT Entertainment in a statement saying, "We are grateful to be able to establish a new relationship with Kim Ji Won, who is loved by many people for her irreplaceable charm." SALT Entertainment is home to popular actresses and actors like Park Shin Hye and Kim Seon Ho.

Actress Kim Ji Won debuted as a commercial model for "Lollipop" in 2010. She made her acting debut in the drama "Mrs. Saigon." Kim Ji Won landed her first main role in the 2011 drama "High Kick! The Rewvenge of the Short Legged." Since then she starred in a variety of dramas like "Fight For My Way" and even landed some iconic roles.

Kim Ji Won played the role of Rachel Yoo for the 2013 drama "The Heirs" where she starred alongside Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. The 29-year-old actress also starred alongside Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo in the hit 20116 drama "Descendants of the Sun."

Most recently, Kim Ji Won starred in "Lovestruck in the City" alongside Ji Chang Wook, Kim Min Seok, So Ju Yeon, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Han Ji Eun.

Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won is set to take on the main role for the upcoming 2022 drama "My Liberation Diary." She is also booked to star in the upcoming second season of "Arthdal Chronicle" where she will be playing Tan Ya.
