Is WinWin Leaving NCT? SM Entertainment Talk About WayV Member’s New Studio In China!
SM Entertainment recently addressed NCT WinWin's new studio in China which has made NCTzens worried about the possibility of WinWin leaving the K-pop group!
Earlier in August, another member of NCT was embroiled in an issue as NCT and WayV's Lucas was embroiled in a dating and gaslighting scandal that was posted by a Twitter user.
NCTzens went on to defend their K-pop idol, but due to previous reports, it seems as though the allegations could have been true.
On the 25th of August, NCT and WayV Lucas went on to post a handwritten letter of apology in Chinese on his personal Instagram. In his post, the caption contained a translation of what he said in the apology letter into Korean.
On the same day, SM Entertainment went on to release a statement. The Korean Entertainment agency went on to announce that WayV's Lucas would be halting his activities to do some reflection for his actions.
But as per reports, it has been confirmed that WayV's Lucas has canceled his plans to go to China and leave Korea. Lucas was supposed to make his way to Shanghai on the 10th of September at 1:55 PM KST for solo activities but has gone on to cancel his flight.
Adding to this, the other members of WayV were also slated to go to China for promotions in October, but similarly, these plans have been halted as well. Plans on when WayV will go back to China have not been discussed.
But it seems as though a certain member of WayV is making strides in China.
SM Entertainment has officially talked about the reports of NCT's WinWin making his own studio for activities in China. As of writing this article, yesterday on the 30th of September, SM Entertainment released a statement:
"WinWin recently established a personal studio for his acting activities in China."
Furthermore, SM Entertainment noted that although WinWin's new studio, technically now a one-man label, is for his acting activities within China alone, emphasizing that he is not leaving NCT nor WayV.
SM Entertainment expressed, "WinWin will be continuing his activities as a member of WayV just like he has up until now."
