Two months ago MAMAMOO's maknae, proved her musical prowess and popularity as Hwasa's "Maria" goes beyond 200 million views on YouTube and MooMoos (the fandom name of MAMAMOO) are extremely overjoyed for the MAMAMOO member!

On the 28th of July, at around 8 p.m. Korean Standard Time, the music video for Hwasa's "Maria" went beyond the 200 million views mark on YouTube. This makes it Hwasa's first solo music video to ever reach this milestone!

Previously released on the 29th of June, 2020, Hwasa's "Maria" took a year and 29 days to get this amount of hits on YouTube. Currently, the music video has 215,425,733 views, 4.2 million likes, and 116,143 comments.

But recently, it was confirmed that MAMAMOO's Hwasa will have the chance to replicate or surpass the success of "Maria" as recent reports have confirmed that she is gearing up for a solo comeback!

As of writing this article, today on the 29th of September, media outlets have reported that MAMAMOO's Hwasa is preparing for a solo comeback, looking to release her upcoming album within this year.

But no specific release date has been given regarding MAMAMOO Hwasa's highly-awaited solo return.

To further confirm these reports, an insider from RBW revealed, "Hwasa is steadily working on her solo album. But the exact timing of the release has not been decided, and we will share an announcement in the future once it is decided on."

Notably, MAMAMOO's Hwasa made her solo debut with her single entitled "Twit" two years ago in February 2019. Following this, Hwasa made a comeback last year in June with "Maria."
